RokuRemote v1.1 Released
Finally, after a coding cock-up by me (bloody null-pointers) and waiting for apple to give the check-over, v1.1 is now available to download through the iTunes App Store. For those who have v1.0, you should be able to find the update in your app store update view (and of course all updates are free!!!!)
Below is a list of features added for version 1.1, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
- Auto-discovery of Roku devices, as well as manual add via IP addressing
- Play internet radio favourites
- Preset and FM/AM radio controls
- Artist -> Album -> Song workflow
- Song lyrics (Requires internet connection)
- Artwork and lyrics caching
- Custom album artwork selection from your photo album
- Switch alarms on/off
- Toggle sleep time (Off – 90 mins)
- Tracks ordering preserved
- General bugs and speed fixes

What a great piece of software. Installed, works like a dream. Only thing for the wishlist for internet Radio: A mode for displaying the Station/SongTitel big or full screen – for us Radio Paradise lovers to see without glasses ,-)
RokuRemote is just what I wished for, making my SoundBridge far more easier to use.
I don’t know if this a limitation of the SoundBridge or the iPod touch, but when the iPod touch goes into energy saving mode and turns off, I lose my connection to my SoundBridge – although the SoundBridge continues to play what the RokuRemote set up. Is there anyway for RokuRemote to return to where the SoundBridge is currently rather than starting over when I tune back in?
I wrote a review of your software on my blog at:

I love this application. Thank you for writing it. My only suggestions would be to increase the text size options on the song/station since they appear so small on screen. Also, the volume bar is tricky to control with its proximity so close to the bottom my fingers keep catching the foward/back buttons.
I had my soundbridge (a gift) boxed up for about 6 months. When I came across this app I bought it, and have been using it every day. Thanks!
One thing I’d like to see (and I’m also willing to pay for it) is the use of the jpg inside the mp3’s for album art.
Thanks in advance,
Mark
